Here’s some great photos that have been sent to us capturing the sights as nearly 120 altar servers from across the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh gathered for a training day at the Gillis Centre in the capital, Saturday 1 September, an event organised by the Archdiocesan Catechetics Commission.

Archbishop Cushley said he hoped the day would prove to be a “small but important step in reaching out to both boys and girls in the dioceseand in helping them to appreciate more deeply the importance of the Mass and the Blessed Sacrament.”

The day included a talk by the Archbishop himself, training for servers provided by the Archdiocesan Masters of Ceremonies, lunch, social time and, of course, Holy Mass. Thank you to all the servers who attended and to all those adults, 50 in total, who supervised their attendance. God bless.
