Archbishop Leo Cushley has made the following clergy changes to take effect as of 1 September 2018:

• Father Basil Clarke VE to become Parish Priest of St Martin of Tours, Tranent
• Father William Hattie SX to return to the Xaverians with the deep gratitude and good wishes of the Archdiocese for his future; and Father Syriac Palakudiyil OFM Cap to go as temporary administrator of Blanefield and Balfron parishes. Until Father Syriac’s return to Restalrig, St Ninian's will be covered by the local clergy under the direction of Monsignor Philip Kerr as dean;
• Deacon Gordon Graham will go from assisting at North Berwick parish to Our Lady of Loretto, Musselburgh and St Martin’s Tranent, and he will also assist in the chaplaincy to St David’s High School, Dalkeith.
