Speaking Truth to Power: Dorothy Day, Christian Activist

Dorothy Day was an iconic twentieth-century Christian Activist in the fields of social justice, workers' rights, non-violence, agricultural reform and advancing the rights of the poor and marginalised.

This event (register here) is an opportunity to learn more about the work and legacy of Dorothy Day. Her grandaughter Martha will speak for 50 minutes and there will be opportunity for questions and discussion, followed by wine and cheese. Kate Hennessy, Martha Hennessy’s sister, will also attend.

Her book, Dorothy Day: The World Will Be Saved By Beauty: An Intimate Portrait of My Grandmother was the best spiritual writing of 2017 according to the Chicago Tribune. It won a Christopher Award.
