Mass for World Day for Consecrated Life
Join Religious brothers and sisters at St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday 2 February to celebrate the World Day of Consecrated Life with midday Mass.
It is a chance to meet some of those who live and work in the Archdiocese and to pray for more vocations to the Religious Life.
Afternoon Retreat for Married & Engaged Couples
This FREE afternoon retreat is an ideal way for couples to spend time together in quiet reflection and prayer.

We welcome Fr Andrew Garden from St David's, Dalkeith, who will speak on the theme of the miracle of the Wedding Feast at Cana (John 21:2), and share his thoughts and spiritual tips on finding an abundance of good wine in your marriage!
This annual event will include time for reflection and prayer as a couple, before the Lord, and also to meet other couples over a cup of coffee.
We hope it will help you look afresh in appreciation of each other in the relaxed and friendly environment of St Kentigern’s Parish in Edinburgh. We look forward to welcoming you!

There will be a crèche available for children of primary school age and older. If you are bringing a child please let us know.

St Kentigern's is located at 26 Parkgrove Avenue Edinburgh, Edinburgh, EH4 7QR.
By car: St Kentigern's has a car park which is free and has around 20 spaces. There is free parking in surrounding streets.
By bus: From Edinburgh, you can take the X58, X54, X55, X61, which stops at Barnton Junction. From there it is a 10 minute walk to the Church at 26 Parkgrove Avenue. We recommend using the Lothian Buses app for routes/times.
From Fife, you can take buses including the X55 and X58 which also stops at Barnton junction.

The event is organised by the Marriage & Families Commission of the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh. Includes talks, time for couples to talk, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and guided prayer with readings and prayers relevant to the vocation of marriage. Questions? February Mass in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes
The February Mass in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes will take place at 4:00pm on Sunday 2nd February 2025 in St Cuthbert’s Church, 104 Slateford Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1PT.
Archbishop Cushley will be the principal celebrant. There will be refreshments in the hall afterwards. All welcome!
Mass organised by the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh Lourdes Committee.

Conversations in the Spirit
Fr Matthew Nunes from the Archdiocese of Liverpool will speak on the theme Conversations in the Spirit: How to Lead & Participate.
Fr Nunes runs a School of Synodality in the Liverpool Archdiocese and has a wealth of experience and insights to share.
We will discuss the practical steps of being synodal in your parish with speaker input and workshops and a chance to have your say.
We invite you to join us for Holy Mass at 10:00am (optional), followed by tea and coffee in the Islay Hall where the event begins officially at 11:00am

The Holy Year of Hope (Young Adults' event)
The Young Adults' Group of St Mary's Cathedral meets on Tuesday 14 January for a new series of talks on the Jubilee Year 2025.
Join us Fr Jeremy Milne speaks about The Holy Year of Hope.’ All those aged 18+ are welcome to the weekly meetings.
Meet at the Cathedral House, 63 York Place, Edinburgh, at 7:00pm for teas/coffees with the talk beginning at 7.30pm, followed by a short group discussion.
Each session concludes with Night Prayer and the chance to meet up at a local pub. Come along!
Order of Malta Fundraising Ball
The Order of Malta's annual Fundraising Ball takes place at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, on Saturday 17 May.
Includes a champagne reception, three course dinner with wine, live and silent auctions, reels, live band and piper.
