National Youth Pilgrimage
Archbishop Cushley will join Archbishop Bill Nolan for Holy Mass to conclude the National Youth Pilgrimage at St Andrew's Cathedral in Glasgow on Saturday 21 September.
For those in our Archdiocese, meet outside the City Chambers in George Square at 12:15pm.
If you are travelling from Edinburgh, a group from the Archdiocese will be getting the 11:15am train from Waverley Station to Queen Street so please join them.
The pilgrimage includes a walking tour through the streets of Glasgow City Centre, recalling the saints that walked them before us. The event is open to ages 18-35 in our Diocese.

Solemn Vespers for St Patrick's 250th anniversary
Archbishop Cushley will join Fr Gerard Hatton and Fr Ninian Doohan, parishioners and people from across the Archdiocese to celebrate the 250th anniversary of St Patrick's Church in The Cowgate, Edinburgh, with Solemn Vespers (the evening prayer of the Church).
Caritas, Justice & Peace Mass
Each year we gather for the annual Justice and Peace Mass in our Archdiocese.
It is a chance to worship together and to celebrate the practical work done in parishes across the Archdiocese on Justice & Peace issues, such as helping the poor, alleviating suffering and highlighting injustice.
The lead celebrant is Canon Brian Gowans, the Vicar Episcopal for the Archdiocese’s Caritas Justice & Peace Commission, and there will be a homily from Fr Tony Lappin.
After Mass there will be a hot food buffet in the church hall and a chance to meet members of the Archdiocesan Caritas, Justice & Peace Commission.
Lourdes - Annual Remembrance Mass
A Requiem Mass for deceased pilgrims, family members and benefactors of the annual Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage takes place at 3:30pm on Sunday 10 November 2024 at St Francis Xavier Church, Hope Street, Falkirk, FK1 5AT.

Please note that spaces in the Church Car Park are limited but there is parking available in Morrisons (free up to 3 hours) and train station parking is free on Sundays.
To hope and act with Creation (Season of Creation event)
Fr Josh Kureethadam will share not only a sense of awe and wonder before the grandeur and majesty of the universe, but also a deep sense of concern for our common home.
The session will discern insights of Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato Si' and his 2023 apostolic exhortation Laudate Deum.
Fr Josh was the Coordinator of the Sector of Ecology at the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development from 2017-2023, where he continues to serve as a consultant.

An opportunity for spiritual development and a chance to celebrate the vocation of teaching in a Catholic school. The retreat theme is Pilgrims of Hope.
The event is open to all staff working in a school in the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh.

Pilgrimage of Hope: Preparing for the Jubilee 2025
Pope Francis declared 2025 a Year of Jubilee. This event will explore what a Jubilee Year is in the context of the year's theme: Pilgrims of Hope.
We'll have inspiring talks on preparing spiritually for the year ahead and hear from pilgrims who have visited sites of pilgrimage and the impact that it had on their lives.

Celebrating the Gift (new Lectionary event)
The Lectionary used at Mass and for the Sacraments is changing this Advent.
This event will explain why it is being changed and what you need to know, while reflecting together on God's Word in Holy Scripture.
Celebrating the Gift will share clear, simple explanations from expert speakers and practical tips on enhancing your knowledge and love of Scripture and the Liturgy.
The day will include
- A range of expert speakers and Q&A sessions.
- Explaining the new Lectionary in clear, jargon-free language.
- Free lunch.
