Early registration ensures priority. \nEvent organised by the National Commission for Marriage\, Family and Life of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland\, led by Bishop John Keenan. \nTimetable  \n10.00am          Registration \n10.30am          Opening Prayer & Welcome \n11.00am           Keynote Speakers 1: John & Angela Deighan – what are worries\, pressures and challenges faced by families? \n11.45am           Comfort Break \n12.00pm         Keynote Speaker 2 – Chris Stefanick (live link from USA) – vision of how ‘Home Church’ could be a source of evangelisation \n1.00pm            Lunch – families to bring own (tea/coffee/juice/water made available). SUMMARY:National Pilgrimage to Carfin
DESCRIPTION:The National Pilgrimage at the National Shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes\, Carfin\, will take place on Sunday 7 September. \nAs we are in the midst of the Jubilee Year the theme for this year’s Pilgrimage will be Pilgrims of Hope. \nHoly Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine at 3:15pm\, the main Celebrant and Preacher will be Archbishop Leo Cushley \nPope Leo XIV recently announced that Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati\, will be canonised on this day in Rome\, so it seems an ideal day for the Scottish Catholic Community to come together to joyfully celebrate our faith in communion with Pope Leo and the Universal Church.
