St Albert the Great’s Chaplaincy in Edinburgh would like to invite you to join them at 6pm on Saturday 3 November for a prayer vigil in support of Christians in the Holy Land.
In particularly, the event will pray and raise money for the Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust which aims to establish a permanent day care centre for elderly men and a hospice for terminally ill people in Bethlehem.
The number of Christians in Palestine has been dwindling in recent decades. This means that vulnerable Christians are often left without family or state support.
The prayer vigil will comprise a series of readings followed by silence for prayer and reflection, lasting approximately one hour. Refreshments will then be served.
Then on Sunday 4 November there will be a talk by Joe McNally after the 12 o’clock Mass at St Alberts. Joe is a founder member of the Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust with whom St Albert’s is partnering. Everyone is welcome to both events.
