Our annual Mass for the Deceased is celebrated by Archbishop Leo Cushley at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Edinburgh. It is a chance to remember and pray for the dead during the month that is traditionally dedicated to the Holy Souls.
Mount Vernon Catholic Cemetery in Edinburgh will be open from 9am-4pm from 24 December to 05 January. Access will be for pedestrians only - no vehicles) available from 24 December 2020 until 5 January 2021’. The staff at the cemetery wish you a happy and holy Christmas.

Mount Vernon Catholic Cemetery in Edinburgh has issued its opening hours for Autumn-Winter 2020.
Beginning today, it will be open Monday-Sunday 9am to 4pm for pedestrians. Vehicle access is by appointment only. If you have a blue badge, are elderly or experience mobility issues call 0131 623 8906. There remains no parking facilities within the cemetery grounds at this time and there is no access to vehicles when a funeral is in progress.
If attending the cemetery, please ensure you follow two-metre physical distancing to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. The management and staff of the cemetery thank you for your patience and understanding.
