Internationally acclaimed Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz is visiting the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh this August.

Best known for creating the powerful Homeless Jesus sculpture, now installed outside St Mary’s Metropolitan Cathedral in Edinburgh, Timothy’s work can be found in churches, shrines and public spaces around the world, inviting people to encounter Christ in the poor, the vulnerable and the forgotten.

Join us as he reflects on the inspiration behind his sculptures, the relationship between faith and art, and the message of hope they seek to convey. There will also be an opportunity to meet Timothy and learn more about his internationally renowned work.

Whether you have already seen Homeless Jesus (located outside the Cathedral) or simply have an interest in art, faith and social justice, everyone is welcome.

Admission is free.
