Prisoners Week Scotland 2026: Show Mercy
November 15 - November 21
Sunday 15 – Saturday 21 November 2026
Prisoners Week Scotland is an opportunity to remember and pray for people in prison, their families, victims of crime, prison staff and chaplains.
This year’s theme, Show Mercy, encourages us to look beyond people’s mistakes and circumstances, recognising their dignity and the importance of kindness, forgiveness and second chances.
The week begins with a launch service on Sunday 15 November at Freedom City Church, Cumbernauld, with information stalls from charities and support organisations available from 3:00pm.
Parishes and individuals are encouraged to take part through prayer, reflection and practical support for those affected by imprisonment.
