Pupils pray together at Cathedral

Primary Seven pupils gathered at St Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh today for the annual Mass to mark their upcoming transition from primary to secondary school.

The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Leo Cushley, who told them to keep in their minds and hearts the Lord’s Prayer.

He said: “the best thing we can do is to pray the way that he taught his disciples.

“Keep it close for the days when you’re happy, the days when you’re sad, the days when you want to give thanks, the days when you want to remember to pray for somebody who is dear to you and who is in a bit of trouble.

“That helps us to be the people that we want to be – the best, the happiest, the holiest disciples of our Lord.”

Archbishop Leo Cushley speaks to pupils about the importance of the Lord’s Prayer.
