Archbishop Leo Cushley celebrated Mass in the Chapel Royal at Falkland Palace on Sunday (2 August) for members of the Scottish Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
The Mass was followed by a ceremony at which awards were presented in recognition of service to the Order and its mission in the Holy Land.
The Order is a Catholic institution whose members support the Church and Christian communities in the Holy Land through prayer, charitable assistance and pilgrimage.
Archbishop Cushley serves as Grand Prior for Scotland, providing spiritual guidance to the Order’s members.
He was joined at the celebration by the Lieutenant for Scotland, Brigadier Joseph d’Inverno, along with members, guests and their families.
