Archbishop Cushley has announced the following clergy moves and appointments.
Fr Federico Dundas SJS (left) becomes Administrator of the parish of St Mary’s, Stirling (including St Margaret’s and Holy Spirit) following the departure of Fr Robert Taylor. He is joined by a new priest who has arrived in the Archdiocese Fr Hermógenes Mejía SJS, who will serve as assistant priest in the parish.
Fr Gerard Hatton (left) has resigned as Administrator of St Patrick’s, Cowgate, due to ill health (he will return for a time to the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton). Fr Ninian Doohan will become Administrator of the parish.
Fr Dermot Morrin OP (left) is stepping down as Superior and Parish Priest of St Albert’s, Edinburgh (he will remain in the Edinburgh Dominican community) and Benjamin Earl OP has arrived to become the Superior and Parish Priest of St Albert’s, Edinburgh. These appointments effective from 5 September 2026.
Monsignor Patrick Burke (left, of St James’ Parish in St Andrews) has been appointed as Dean of the Fife, replacing the Monsignor Philip Kerr who is now based in North Berwick.
As previously announced, Canon Pat Boylan (left) retires officially this Saturday and Fr Nicky Welsh becomes Parish Priest of St Alexander’s, Denny and St Luke’s, Banknock, and coordinating RC chaplain in Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
