A dozen catechists from Edinburgh, Glasgow and even Cambridge gathered at the Gillis Centre in Edinburgh from Saturday to Tuesday for the first part of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Level 1 training course.
CGS is a worldwide approach to faith formation that helps children develop a joyful and lasting relationship with God through prayer, reflection on Jesus and the sacraments.
It encourages children to explore their faith, ask questions and discover the joy of prayer for themselves.
The training was led by Sr Theresa Anne Knuth OP, a certified CGS trainer from the Diocese of Roermond in the Netherlands, assisted by Sr Catherine Farrelly from the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
The group will meet twice more to complete their Level 1 training.
A big thank you to Sr Theresa Anne, Sr Catherine and everyone who took part!
