Red Wednesday is an annual day organised by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) to raise awareness of the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities globally.
It encourages people to wear red, light up buildings in red, and participate in events to break the silence on the injustices faced by those with different faiths.
Holy Mass will be celebrated in Cathedrals across Scotland to mark the day. Mass at St Mary's Cathedral will be at 7:00pm.
