Holy Thursday: Catholic documentary on BBC One

Holy Thursday sees Catholic content on the BBC with the broadcast of Harry Clark Goes to Rome.

The documentary explores a Catholic’s role in the modern world, support for those struggling with their mental health and the sanctity of life for all.

The film follows Harry on pilgrimage to Rome in search of answers about faith, identity and what it means to be a “good” Catholic.

But at the centre of his journey is one goal: to somehow meet one of the most powerful figures on the planet.

Against all odds, that dream becomes a reality.

Harry said: “It was the first time in my life my mind was blown and I thought wow, I’m just a kid from a council house in Slough and here I am sitting opposite Pope Leo talking about the importance of mental health awareness and that whether you have faith or not, life is worth living.

“My message to other young people is to never let anyone tell you you can’t achieve or accomplish something. Keep dreaming big.”

Harry Clark Goes to Rome is on BBC One tonight at 10:40pm and on the BBC iPlayer. Article by Dhylan Livani.
