November is traditionally dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory, when the Church encourages us to remember and pray for the faithful departed.
The month begins with All Saints’ Day (1 November) and All Souls’ Day (2 November), and includes the feasts of St Margaret of Scotland (16 November) and St Andrew (30 November), the Solemnity of Christ the King (22 November) and the beginning of Advent (29 November).
There is also plenty happening across the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh, with Masses, talks, retreats and other events taking place throughout the month. Here’s what’s coming up:
