This week sees two documentaries airing on the BBC Scotland channel, featuring key aspects of Scottish Catholic life and Holy Mass on

It means there will be a total of three Catholic documentaries available to view on the BBC iPlayer.

My First Communion is a humorous and heartwarming film following four little girls in the months leading up to their First Holy Communion, a day they will never forget. It's on tonight (Tuesday 16 June) at 8pm.

On Thursday, Our Fathers is on BBC Scotland channel at 8:30pm.

It follows Fathers Maximilian and James, who have been sent on a mission by the Bishop of Aba, Nigeria to the Scottish Highlands to help with a shortage of priests. It shows how their priesthood - as well as humour and African songs - contributes to their Catholic communities.

Both documentaries follow Priest School, a big hit on the BBC Scotland channel earlier this year. It follows the lives of seminarians studying at the Pontifical Scots College in Rome.

This Sunday, Mass will be broadcast from St Augustine's in Coatbridge on the BBC Scotland channel
