The head of Mary's Meals has thanked parishioners in our Archdiocese and across Scotland for their ongoing support during the coronavirus pandemic.

The charity's founder, Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, recorded a special message to help continue "spreading the word about our beautiful mission to feed hungry children around the world."

Normally at this time of year, the charity's ambassador volunteers would be visiting parishes across the Archdiocese to highlight its work. It provides a meal and an education to children across the world (it costs just £15.90 to feed a child for an entire year).

He said: "Please join us in this  mission, if you are not already part of the Mary's Meals family. And if you are, please stay faithful to it. We rely on your prayers and this work is the fruit of prayer. We rely on all your little acts of love. So please God we'll be back visiting you in your parishes soon.

"But meanwhile thank you with all of my heart, on behalf of those children, for everything that you are doing."
