Priests will gather to renew the promises they made at their ordination to serve God and his people at the annual Chrism Mass on Tuesday evening.

Archbishop Cushley will also consecrate the Sacred Chrism and bless the Oil of Catechumens and the Oil of the Sick at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh.

Last year, only the Deans of each of the five pastoral areas were present to renew promises on behalf of all clergy at the Chrism Mass due to Covid restrictions. But this year, priests and parishioners can attend (with the usual physical distancing measures).

The Chrism Mass takes place at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, at 7pm on Tuesday 22 June. Space limited. Register to attend here.
