It's Vocation Awareness Week when we encourage, pray and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

This week also sees the 10th anniversary of Pope Benedict XVI's state visit to the UK, in which he first visited Edinburgh to meet the Queen before being whisked along the M8 to celebrate Mass at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

In this video, Archbishop Cushley highlights some of the key messages Pope Benedict XVI made in his homily on that special day to encourage, priests, religious and young Catholics in their vocations to holiness.

Please pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Scotland!
